Kerala Style Chicken Fry

   Happy Diwali   

Ingredients:
  • Chicken - 500 Gms
  • Ginger - 2 inch piece
  • Garlic - 10-15 cloves
  • Greenchilli - 1 Nos
  • Yoghurt/ Curd - ¼ cup
  • Kashmiri chilli powder - 2 ½ Tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder - ½ Teaspoon
  • Garam Masala - 1 pinch
  • Coconut Oil to fry
  • Salt to taste
Instructions:
  1. Cut chicken into medium pieces and clean well.
  2. Grind together the ginger, garlic, green chilli with little water in a mixer grinder/food processor and make it as thick paste.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the chicken pieces, garlic-ginger-chilli paste, curd, chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, salt and refrigerate it for 30 minutes.
  4. Heat oil in a kadai/cheenachatty, add the marinated chicken pieces, fry till the chicken is tender and it gets a good reddish brown colour on both sides. Flip to both sides occasionally.
  5. Serve hot with sliced onion, cucumber and tomatoes.
